The latest episode of ‘This Week in Milton’ is now available for a listen.
The Regional Councillor for Milton’s Ward 1, Colin Best, joined myFM’s Cameron Wilkinson to discuss Halton moving to the ‘Red – Control Zone’ today. He cautions residents, saying that while it is good news, we still need to be careful.
Councillor Best also discussed the Town of Milton’s Official Plan, ‘We Make Milton’. The plan would map out the future for the town and give a blueprint to be followed through to 2051. He says that he’d like to see a balanced community where people live and work, and not be forced out of the area due to employment issues or retirement.
Another topic that Best covered was that the Halton Regional Council will be covering whether or not certain areas of Milton should be moved from well water systems to lake water, like the rest of the town. That will be at Wednesday’s meeting. We’ll have more on that tomorrow.
