The Halton Regional Police Service is reporting a shooting in Milton.
A 20-year-old man is recovering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The shooting happened at roughly 8:45 p.m. on Thursday, February 11th at the rear of St. Francis Xavier Secondary School, located at 1145 Bronte Street South in Milton
The shooting is the result of a robbery. The victim met up with a party to sell bottles of wine. The victim was then accosted by multiple suspects and was shot by a long-barreled firearm. The HRPS says the victim is expected to make a full recovery.
It’s reported that the incident is not related to the school. In a release, the Halton Police says it wants to assure the community that this incident was targeted and the parties involved are associated to each other.
Police uniform officers, Canine Units, Forensic Investigators and Criminal Investigators from the One District Criminal Investigation Bureau attended the hospital and located a crime scene at the rear of St.Francis Xavier Secondary School.
