With Valentine’s Day being this weekend, you may want to get your flowers soon.
Pre-orders at local flower shops have been pouring in as many residents are ordering online with the stores only allowed to provide pick-up and delivery.
Business is Blooming co-owner Christene Cunningham says last minute orders might have less to choose from.
On top of the high amount of pre-orders, customers will also be battling the pandemic in a different way: shipments coming in from other countries.
Cunningham notes that the pandemic and the province-wide shutdown has the potential to delay some shipments. That could be an issue when they’re selling as many flowers as they are.
The good news is that the recent province-wide shutdown hasn’t affected business too much. Cunningham says they have stayed busy filling out orders for flowers using their online store.
