Three more Halton residents have died from COVID-19.
The deaths were Burlington (43 total), Halton Hills (39 total), and Milton (32 total) residents. The Milton resident was connected to the outbreak at Allendale.
Looking at the Allendale outbreak: since Sunday, January 10th, there have been 22 reported cases at Allendale. Ten are residents, two are staff members, four are unspecified, and the other six are categorized as ‘non-Halton’ cases. There have been three deaths. Two were residents, the other hasn’t been specified just yet.
As for the outbreak at Maplehurst, ‘Congregate Living – 37’ has 248 cases on the Halton Region’s website. 166 of the cases are residents, nine are staff members, two are unspecified for now, and 71 are considered ‘non-Halton’ cases. Fortunately, there have been no reported deaths linked to the outbreak.
Across Halton, there are 66 new cases being reported for Friday. That brings the total number to 8674 cases. With 8109 resolved cases and 171 deaths total, Halton is now at 396 active cases – eight less than yesterday.
In Milton, we have 23 new cases being reported on Friday. The total number is now 2784 cases. With 2589 resolved cases and 32 deaths, Milton is now at 163 active cases – four more than yesterday.
