The Halton Police has arrested three people in connection to a drug trafficking investigation.
On Wednesday, February 3rd, at roughly 4:30 p.m., members of the Tactical Rescue Unit arrested two parties while they were driving on Highway 401 near James Snow Parkway.
Halton Regional Police Service later executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant in Brampton. An additional person was arrested at this time.
As a result of the investigation, the following items were seized:
- 36 grams of Cocaine
- 91 grams of Ketamine
- 1 gram of Methamphetamine
- 36 grams of Psilocybin
- 210 grams of Cannabis
- A quantity of Canadian Currency
- Other indicia of drug trafficking
The total value of the drugs seized is roughly $9000.
23-year-old Kofi Tega of Brampton is facing:
- Three counts of Trafficking Cocaine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Ketamine
- Six counts of Fail to Comply with Release Orders
- Possession of Cannabis for the Purpose of Distribution
25-year-old Jahmarr Murray of Newmarket is facing:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine
- Possession of Cannabis for the Purpose of Distribution
23-year-old Jorrel James of Brampton is facing:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance – Cocaine
- Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Controlled Substance – Psilocybin
