The Halton Region is reporting 56 new cases in Halton for Wednesday, February 3rd.
That brings the total amount to 8524 cases. With 8001 resolved cases and 163 deaths, Halton is now at 360 active cases – six more than yesterday.
In Milton, we have 11 new cases. That brings our total to 2694 cases. With 2567 resolved cases and 31 deaths, Milton is now at 96 active cases – five less than yesterday.
Looking at the ongoing outbreaks in Milton:
- Since Sunday, January 10th, there have been 18 reported cases at Allendale. Eight are residents, two are staff members, three are unspecified, and the other five are categorized as ‘non-Halton’ cases. There have been two deaths. One was a resident, the other hasn’t been specified just yet.
- On Monday, January 18th, the Halton Region reported an outbreak at what is classified as ‘Congregate Living – 37’. It’s believed that this is Maplehurst Correctional Facility, which was reportedly experiencing an outbreak at the same time of the same magnitude. As of the time of writing, there have been 190 total cases reported during this outbreak. 113 have been residents, nine have been staff members, one is currently unspecified, and 67 are categorized as ‘non-Halton’ cases.
