A Milton man has been arrested and charged in connection to a fatal hit-and-run in Mississauga.
The crash happened on Tuesday, December 8th at roughly 7:40 p.m.. A vehicle had struck a pedestrian at Tomken Road just north of Meyerside Drive in Mississauga.
The pedestrian was a 63-year-old woman. She was hit by a van while crossing the northbound lanes of Tomken Road. The driver of the van did not remain at the scene after the collision. The woman was transported to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries.
57-year-old Waheed Ahmed was arrested on Monday, February 1st and charged with Fail to Stop After Accident Resulting in Death. He was released on an Undertaking, and he will attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on April 19th.
