Three Burlington residents are facing drug trafficking charges after a bust on Wednesday, January 27th.
The investigation by the Halton Regional Police Service – 3 District Street Crime Unit lasted for two months. On Wednesday, investigators executed a search warrant in the area of Queensway Drive and Brant Street in Burlington. Three people were arrested and charged.
50-year old Eric Law of Burlington faces:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (7 counts – fentanyl x 2, GHB x2, cocaine, oxycodone, hydromorphone)
- Weapons Dangerous (2 counts)
- Breach Release Order
- Breach of Probation
Law was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
39-year old Jeffrey Denike of Burlington faces:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (2 counts – fentanyl, GHB)
- Weapons Dangerous
- Breach Undertaking
Denike was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
22-year old Emily Boocock of Burlington faces:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (5 counts – fentanyl, GHB, cocaine, oxycodone, hydromorphone)
- Weapons Dangerous
Boocock was released on an undertaking.
The following items were seized (see photo above):
- 22.6 grams fentanyl
- 1.2 litres GHB
- 1 gram cocaine
- 183 oxycodone pills
- 80 hydromorphone capsules
- 2 swords
- 2 knives
- Bear spray
- $1955 cash
- 5 digital scales
- 4 cellular telephones
The total value of the drugs seized was roughly $7000.
