(Milton Council Chambers, 2019)
Two public meetings were held at Milton’s Town Council meeting on Monday.
They focused on incoming development plans. The two meetings allowed for residents to express concerns and opinions.
There were several delegations for a potential six-storey apartment building at Ontario Street and Laurier Avenue. The Regional Councillor for Milton’s Ward 1, Colin Best, says there were a few concerns about the building.
If built as currently planned, the apartment building would have 297 residential units.
The second meeting was for three more apartment buildings that would be built on the northeast corner of the intersection of Louis St. Laurent Avenue and Regional Road 25. All three buildings would be six-storeys and would total up to 276 units.
Regarding the location of the three buildings, Councillor Best says he’d like the town to plan for more multi-use areas.
