Ten people were busted for impaired driving last weekend in Halton.
The stats include the early morning of New Year’s Day. Milton was involved in four of the cases.
On December 29th, just before 8:30 p.m., Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Campbellville Road and Dublin Line in Milton. As a result of an investigation, a 51-year old Brampton woman was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
On December 29th, just after 10:00 p.m., Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Main Street East and Thompson Road in Milton. As a result of an investigation, a 36-year old Milton resident was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.
On January 1st, just before 1:30 a.m., Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Campbellville Road and Tremaine Road in Milton. As a result of an investigation, a 60-year old Milton man was charged with operation while impaired and failure or refusal to comply with demand.
On January 4th, just before 1:00 a.m., Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Main Street East and Harris Boulevard in Milton. As a result of an investigation, a 24-year old Brampton resident was charged with operation while impaired and failure or refusal to comply with demand.
Remember, driving under the influence is considered a crime in progress. Call 9-1-1 immediately if you suspect that someone on the road is driving impaired.
