Two more Halton residents are dead reportedly from COVID-19.
The deaths appear to be out of Halton Hills. It gives the town now 17 deaths total from the virus. Halton is up to 96 deaths.
Across the region, there are 63 new cases. The total number is now 5157 cases. With 4602 resolved cases and 96 deaths, Halton is now at 459 active cases.
In Milton, we have 30 new cases. That brings our total number up to 1585 cases. With 1400 resolved cases and 23 deaths, Milton is now at 162 active cases.
Looking at Milton’s outbreaks:
- Allendale’s outbreak has been ongoing since November 13th. It now has 85 total cases. 58 have been residents, 12 have been staff members, three are unspecified, and 12 are ‘non-Halton’ cases. There have been 18 deaths, 17 residents and one unspecified.
- Since December 12th, the Milton District Hospital has had seven cases. Five have been residents and two are ‘non-Halton’ cases.
- Martindale Gardens has had an outbreak since December 14th. There have been five cases. Two of those have been staff members, one is unspecified, and two are ‘non-Halton’ cases.
- The most recent outbreak in our town is Revera Birkdale Place. Since December 16th, it has had 36 cases. Two are confirmed as staff members, while 34 others are unspecified.
