The Halton Regional Police Service – 1 District Street Crime Unit has made an arrest in relation to a drug trafficking investigation that began in May.
On Wednesday December 3rd, Mark Belen was arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Fentanyl
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Oxycodone
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Heroin
- Possession contrary to prohibition order (firearm) X2
- Drive while under suspension
Four search warrants were executed in Milton, Brampton and Toronto and as a result investigators seized 21.5 grams of fentanyl, 21.5 grams heroin, 3.6 grams methamphetamine, 60.5 grams of cocaine, 60 oxycodone pills, $700 in currency.
A replica Glock handgun was located and seized.
Belen was released from custody pending a court appearance in Milton.
