The Halton Region is reporting 28 new cases in Halton.
13 of the 28 cases are out of Milton. That brings Milton’s total to 903 cases. With 686 resolved cases and four deaths, Milton continues to have the most active cases among Halton municipalities with 213.
With a big spike in Halton deaths recently, it’s important to note that most of the deaths are coming out of long term care homes. While Milton has had the lowest death total among Halton municipalities, that could be because its facilities have fared considerably well during the pandemic. Unfortunately, an outbreak was reported at Allendale Long Term Care Facility on Friday, November 13th. In the time since, 23 cases have been reported. Seven were residents, three were staff members, and the remaining 13 are not specified. Fortunately, no deaths have been reported.
The only other reported outbreak at a Milton long term care facility was Allendale in April.
Across Halton, the 28 new cases brings the total to 3333 cases. With 2709 resolved cases and 54 deaths, Halton is at 570 active cases.
Oakville has 187 active cases, Burlington has 125 active cases, and Halton Hills has 45 active cases.
Below are the numbers for Ontario, including roughly 1009 new cases.
| Severity | Number | Percentage |
|---|---|---|
| Number of cases footnote 1 | 106,510 | N/A |
| Change from previous report (new cases) | 1,009 Due to technical issues, instead of cases up until 12:00 p.m. on November 22, yesterday’s report contained cases reported in CCM up until 8:30 p.m. on November 22, resulting in an overestimate of the daily counts yesterday, and an underestimate of the daily counts today. |
