The holiday season is upon us.
With COVID-19 taking up most of our year, it’s nice to have something to keep our minds off of the pandemic.
The Executive Director with the Downtown Milton Business Improvement Area, Rachel Shuttleworth, hopes residents remember to shop local.
She adds that there are a lot of great shops to keep in mind, including restaurants that offer gift cards.
Shuttleworth says that shopping local is a great way to say thank you to local business owners.
She commends the business owners that have been “putting everything out there” to keep running their shops. She says they are all interesting and diverse, and says they make sure that we can run our lives the way that we have in Milton.
So, while you’re starting, or wrapping up, your Christmas and holiday shopping, make sure to think of your local stores. All it takes is walking into one downtown shop to suddenly spur ideas for gifts this year.
