The Premier of Ontario, Doug Ford, says Peel and Toronto will be entering lockdown on Monday.
The announcement means the two regions will no longer be allowed to hold indoor organized public events and social gatherings, except with members in the same household. There will also be a limit of 10 people on outdoor organized public events and social gatherings, physical distancing can be maintained.
Of course, virtual and drive-in gatherings are still allowed.
Schools are remaining open, but post-secondary classes will be purely online.
Restaurants and bars will be closed, except for takeout, delivery and drive-through.
Retail will be curbside pick-up and delivery only, with some exceptions.
Indoor sports and fitness classes/gyms are also closed.
Halton is not included in the lockdown announcement, as we remain in the Red Zone. We’ll update you immediately if/when that changes.
