A resident in Georgetown is saying that they saw a skipping rope fashioned like a noose in a tree at a Georgetown public school.
According to the report from the police, the resident was walking their dog on the morning of Sunday, November 8th. They found a pink skipping rope tied into the shape of a noose, hanging from a tree on the grounds of Ethel Gardiner Public School in Georgetown. The person indicated that they removed the skipping rope from the tree and threw it in the garbage, and did not take any photos of the skipping rope before disposing of it.
The complainant adds that they believe they had seen the rope laying around school property for at least a week prior to locating it in the tree.
Officers attended the scene. They did not find any associated items or hate speech written or posted on the grounds of the school or in the area.
