The annual Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign is ramping up for another year.
Milton’s own Salvation Army is looking for both donations and volunteers.
Captain Ruth Hickman tells you what you can expect this year.
Hickman is hoping to raise $180,000 this year with their Kettle Campaign. It’s the same goal as last year, and she feels Milton will be willing and able to help them climb over the hill.
Last year was Hickman’s first Christmas in Milton with the local Salvation Army. She says that while they fell short on the fundraising goal, they experienced a warm welcome from the Milton community and are happy to have found a home here in our town.
The Salvation Army is always looking for volunteers for the Kettle Campaign, and this year has a new twist to signing up.
You can register right now here.
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused an increase in registrations for the Salvation Army Milton Food Bank. Hickman says they had a busy Thanksgiving and are expecting a busy Christmas as well.
