We are firmly planted in the second wave of COVID-19 and daily counts are expected to rise more and more around Ontario in the coming weeks.
Associate Professor and Dean of the Trent/Fleming School of Nursing and Epidemiologist Dr. Kirsten Woodend says while that figure is important to know, she likes to highlight weekly trends.
Woodend adds that while it may appear on the surface as more of a big city issue’, smaller communities like Milton, and in a wider sense even Halton, play an important role in stopping the spread.
Woodend says the good news is we’ve learned a lot about this virus and how to treat it and that is reflected in low mortality rates.
