The Halton Region is accepting submissions for their Community Investment Fund.
The fund supports a wide range of non-profit human service programs and initiatives. The Region says that “applications must focus on enhancing the health, safety and well-being of residents and demonstrate how the program or initiative will incorporate public health guidance related to COVID-19.”
“The Halton Region Community Investment Fund makes important investments in our local, non-profit organizations who work to ensure vital supports are delivered to those who are most vulnerable in our community,” said Regional Chair Gary Carr. “I would like to thank these organizations for the critical role they play in improving the quality of life in our community and supporting our residents each and every day.”
Roughly $2.3 million is available for new grants in 2021. Funding is provided by Halton Region in single and multi-year grants through two categories:
- Category One: one-year of funding up to $30,000 to non-profit, charitable or unincorporated community organizations for short-term, small capital and/or innovative projects.
- Category Two: up to three years of funding to charitable organizations for programs and initiatives.
The deadline to submit is November 2nd, 2020. There will be more opportunities to apply for funding throughout 2021. For the list of eligible criteria, click here.
