A Milton family hit hard by an incurable disease has support from the Milton community.
The Halwasli family has been through a lot.
They have four children and three of them are suffering from Zellweger’s disease.
It is a fatal illness that causes the child to deteriorate slowly, losing their vision, hearing, ability to move, eat, and breathe.
Last week, one of their children, Reslen, passed away at 12-years old.
Becky Eden works as an educational assistant and with the family. She heard about what happened and set up a GoFundMe Page to help pay for their son’s funeral.
Eden also says that the impact of COVID has had an impact on the family.
She adds that despite the struggles there are some bright spots.
On top of the medical struggles, the landlord has also chosen to sell their home as well.
