
An arrest has been made in connection to an attempted Milton convenience store armed robbery.
The robbery happened on Friday night when a suspect entered a Hasty Market convenience store at Thompson and Derry. The male attempted to rob the store at knifepoint. They fled empty handed.
Officers quickly found the male walking through a nearby park. When confronted, the male brandished the knife. Officers from uniform patrol, K9 and the Emergency Services Unit quickly contained the suspect. The Halton Police say that “after a brief de-escalation conversation the suspect dropped the knife and he was taken into custody without incident.”

No injuries were sustained to the public, officers nor the suspect. The Halton Police say there was no risk to the public.
The investigation will be continued by officers of the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
The name of the accused and any potential charges will not be released at this time.
