If you are involved or attending a Halton Catholic School in September you will be required to wear a mask.
They released their plan yesterday afternoon after their board meeting.
Elementary students will return to school in a conventional model, five-days per week, with one cohort for the full day.
Enhanced health and safety protocols will be in place.
Secondary School students will return to school in an adapted model with class cohorts of approximately 15 students, on alternating schedules with at least 50% of in-class instructional days.
At both the elementary and the secondary level, parents may choose to opt their child(ren) out of in-class instruction and have them participate in remote learning.
Medical masks and eye protection (i.e. face shield) will be provided for all teachers and other staff.
All school-based staff will be required to wear masks, with reasonable exceptions for medical conditions.
Students in Grades K to 12 will be required to wear non-medical or cloth masks/face coverings indoors, including in hallways and in classrooms.
Students may wear their own non-medical/cloth masks; non-medical masks will also be made available.
