The Italian Cultural Centre of Milton is holding a drive-in concert series to raise money for charity.
The four physically distant shows will be spread across four nights on two seperate weekends.
The President of the ICCM, Rosanna Conteduca, shares more.
She says they noticed every local event being cancelled throughout the pandemic.
They wanted to find a way to fundraise during COVID-19.
Conteduca says COVID-19 has made things challenging for the Italian Cultural Centre of Milton. The Centre was forced to cancel their own major annual event, ItaliaFest.
However, despite all of that, there is a silver lining.
There is a lot to be said about there being strength in numbers, says Conteduca. She feels the Milton community needs to work together in order to pull us all through these tough times.
The shows will raise money for ROCK, Pack a Bag Foundation, Halton Women’s Place, the Milton District Hospital Foundation, and the Townsend Smith Foundation.
Each concert will have an individual theme that correlates with the charities that they are raising money for.
They will take place on Friday, August 28th, Saturday, August 29th, Friday, September 4th, and Saturday, September 5th.
It’s all going to be at the Italian Cultural Centre of Milton, located at 104 Tremaine Road.
The ICCM is also looking for sponsorships for the event, so if you have a local business, or know someone who does it, reach out them at info@iccm.ca.
