
The Town of Milton has started to reopen in person payments options.
Starting on Tuesday August 18th, the Cashier’s counter at Town Hall is reopening on a limited schedule, to offer in-person payments for property taxes, parking tickets, invoices and transit passes.
The Cashier’s counter at Town Hall will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The reopening of the Cashier’s counter is in addition to services residents can currently access in-person by appointment only, such as marriage licenses.
When visiting the Cashier’s counter at Town Hall, residents will notice that enhanced health and safety precautions are in place, including plexiglass screens at the counter, as well as floor markings and signage to encourage physical distancing.
A customer service representative will be on-site to assist with traffic flow.
Members of the public are required to wear non-medical masks or face coverings when visiting the Cashier’s counter. Some individuals are exempt.
The Cashier’s counter at Town Hall will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with some exceptions noted below, to complete the following payments:
- Property taxes: The first installment of the final tax bill is due on Aug. 31. For the week before this deadline, cashier services is extending its schedule and will be open from Aug. 24 to 28, and Aug. 31.
- Parking tickets: Please note this is for payment only. Residents who wish to discuss a ticket must do so online or by email.
- Invoices: This includes by-law infractions and account receivables.
- Transit tickets and passes: This service is available starting Aug. 25, 2020.
