A pair of Milton girls have been recognized for their efforts in saving their grandmas from drowning.
The Halton Paramedic Service honoured the girls on July 23rd for their action on Father’s Day Sunday.
12-year old Rose Parker and seven-year old Grace were playing with their grandpa near the pool when he fell into the pool.
Rose, with the help of her grandma, brought her grandfather to the surface and gave him chest compressions. Grace called 9-1-1 after helping provide CPR.
Rose explains what she was thinking in that situation.
Their father, Greg, is a paramedic couldn’t be more happy of their reactions.
Now that their grandfather is home and recovering, both Rose and Grace say their life has been turned upside down.
On a serious note, Greg says that this situation shows the importance of learning what to do in an emergency.
