Santa Claus will not be coming to this town.
The Milton Santa Claus Parade has been cancelled due to COVID-19.
President and Vice-President of the event’s Committee, Michael Vertolli and Liane LaBarbera, made the announcement on Wednesday, July 29th.
In a joint statement, the two said, “the Santa Claus Parade committee has discussed the difficulties with celebrating the parade this year during the COVID-19 pandemic. The number of people attending and public health guidelines. As such, the committee has reached the difficult decision to cancel the November 22, 2020 parade.”
They add, “we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our volunteers, participants and especially you our sponsors for supporting the Milton Santa Claus Parade. The parade would not be successful without the collaboration and commitment of all.”
