With Halton set to join Stage Three today, we spoke with Health Minister Christine Elliott to learn all the details.
Minister Elliott explains that Stage Three will see indoor gatherings of up to 50 people permitted and outdoor gatherings of up to 100 people allowed.
There will also be significant changes for businesses.
Minister Elliott adds that just because we’re moving into Stage Three it doesn’t mean we’re in the clear; in fact, following public health guidance is even more crucial.
She also explained what the next steps may look like if stage three goes into effect smoothly.
While a vast majority of businesses are allowed to open this Friday, it doesn’t mean they will.
The Provincial government has reiterated that businesses should only reopen when they feel they can safely do so.
