Premier Doug Ford has announced some of Ontario will move into Stage three starting this Friday.
However, Halton will remain in stage two along with other parts of the Toronto area and other regions, until further notice.
Expanded limits on public gatherings will allow 100 people outdoors and 50 indoors. Dine in restaurants, bars, gyms, casinos, recreational facilities and tour guide services can reopen.
Playgrounds, community centres and libraries will also be able to reopen and organized sports can resume as long as they are non-contact.
Other regions remaining in stage two include the Durham Region Health Department, Haldimand Norfolk Health Unit, Hamilton Public Health Services, Lambton Public Health, Niagara Region Public Health, Peel Public Health, Toronto Public Health, Windsor-Essex County Health Unit and York Region Public Health.
All regions that are in stage two are reminded to keep their groups at a limit of 10 people.
