According to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, Fresh Express has recalled their salad products from local grocery stores and Walmarts due to possible Cyclospora contamination.
The canadian company has recalled these items after possible infections have been linked to iceberg lettuce, red cabbage and carrot ingredients at their facility in Streamwood, Illinois.
This recall comes after a large Cyclospora outbreak in the United States.
There have been no illnesses reported in Canada.
Some of the items that have been recalled include their Chopped kits which include Chipotle Cheddar, Thai ‘N’ Cashews, Sunflower Crisp, Asian and Southwest and American. As well as their Veggie Lover’s iceberg Garden. SHREDS, Green & Crisp and 3 Color Deli Cole Slaw.
Any of their salad products with a best before date between July 8th to 14th and a product code Z178 or a lower number.
