Throughout the month of June, CMHA National is holding their ‘Ride Don’t Hide’ event to raise money for their mental health programs.
This year the event has gone virtual due to COVID-19
Since CMHA National began the ride in 2010 they have raised about $10 million.
CMHA’s Peel Dufferin branch is participating for the seventh year.
Communications Officer Siobhan Kukolic encourages you to do whatever activity you want for your ride.
This event will go on all month long and they will be creating that sense of community on their Facebook page by inviting people to post what they’re doing and will hold spin classes and other activities.
All funds raised will go towards their COVID-19 efforts as they have had to take their services virtual.
Kukolic explains where else those dollars will go.
She encourages Miltonians to get involved even though they aren’t from the branch’s region.
This year they do not have a fundraising target as they understand the stress some may be facing due to the pandemic.
Kukolic gives us an idea of how their branch is doing.
To get involved, check out their website and their Facebook page.
