Due to COVID-19, this year’s Relay for Life event is going virtual.
On June 13th, the Canadian Cancer Society is encouraging the public to sign up, fundraise, and participate online this year to help them support the over 1 million Canadians living with cancer.
The event goes from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m..
Community fundraising specialist with the Canadian Cancer Society’s Halton Unit, Shelley Frank, says that this event will be a broadcast that will allow Canadians the ability to participate from the comfort of their own homes.
Frank says that they recognize that fundraising is going to be different for them this year.
She encourages people to get involved.
