
The Town of Milton is looking for help in designing a flag to celebrate National AccessAbility Week (NAAW).
The flag design contest is part of the Town of Milton’s commitment to recognize the efforts of members of the community who are actively ensuring persons with disabilities have an equal chance to participate in all aspects of Canadian society.
Residents of all ages are invited to celebrate accessibility through the submission of artwork that represents inclusion, equality, and accessibility in Milton. The criteria for the winning selection will include; ability of design to communicate one or more of the following: leadership, inclusivity, kindness, acceptance, diversity, bias-free environments, respect and positive engagement.
Submissions for entry will be accepted until May 17.
One winner will be selected. The winning submission will be made into a flag.
Mayor Krantz will raise the flag while making a Proclamation at Town Hall on June 1.
In addition, the winner will receive a copy of the flag, along with a $100 gift card.
