
A virtual Fast with Muslim event was held this past weekend to celebrate Ramadan.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat made the switch to online amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
Regional Councillor for Ward 4, Zeeshan Hamid, was part of the call.
He spoke to what Ramadan means to him.
Councillor Hamid adds that he’s proud of the Milton Muslim community for adapting.
He says it’s an unfortunate circumstance that we’re in, but everyone is making the best of it.

Both Penman and the Imam thanked the Milton community for being supportive during the crisis. Penman says the AMJ has been a major contributor during this time of need.
The night ended at sundown with a prayer for all frontline workers, titled, ‘Pray for Heroes’.
