
The Milton Fire Department are warning residents about open air burning after putting out a large grass fire that burned down about 10 acres of rural land.
On Saturday April 25th at around 3:30 pm, firefighters responded to a report of smoke in the area of No.25 Side Road and the Nassagaweya/Esquesing Line in Milton.
Milton Fire responded with seven large fire trucks, several support vehicles and over 40 firefighters.
Firefighters from Halton Hills, Guelph-Eramosa Township and Puslinch helped put out the fire.
There were no injuries and no homes were damaged.
The Milton Fire Department is investigating the cause.
