COVID-19: 169 cases in Halton, 39 in Milton

On Tuesday, 14 new cases were reported in Halton with 2 more in Milton.

Bringing Halton’s numbers to 169 and 39 in Milton.

Provincially there are 4,726 cases, showing a increase of 379 cases since Monday’s report.

1,802 have been resolved and 153 people have died.

There are 614 patients who have been hospitalized, 233 of those are in the ICU with 187 people in the ICU on a ventilator.

81,364 people have been tested for the virus and there are 691 cases currently under investigation.

Symptoms of COVID-19 may include:

  • Fever or new cough or difficulty breathing
  • Muscle aches, fatigue, headache, sore throat, runny nose or diarrhea
  • Symptoms in young children may be non-specific (e.g., lethargy, poor feeding)

Severe symptoms may include:

  • Shortness of breath when walking, exercising, or at rest, which is unusual for the patient
  • Chest pain, extreme fatigue, drowsiness, unstable vital signs

Anyone who develops symptoms, whether they have traveled or not, should self-isolate for 14 days, or until they have been symptom-free for 24 hours, whichever is longer. Those with mild symptoms and no complications do not need to contact Public Health.
