The Milton Public Library is boasting an impressive statistic.
Among all urban libraries across Canada, the MPL has the highest active cardholder rate at 71%.
Chief Librarian Mark Williams says they’ve done a lot of hard work over the last year to get people more involved with the Library.
Williams adds that he feels the Library is properly balancing traditional with technology.
He says it shows in their increases in both usage of eResources and physical book circulation.
One example of combining traditional with new technology is the Sherwood branch’s laptop lending kiosk.
Residents looking to keep busy during the COVID-19 outbreak can use the Library’s online resources.
All you need is a library card to watch movies, read books and comic books, and listen to music and audiobooks for free.
