As CMHA’s Halton Region Branch has changed how they will be offering their services during the COVID 19 outbreak.
A lot of their services are still being offered over the phone.
CMHA Halton Region Branch’s specialist for health promotion and advancement, Melanie McGregor, says they want to encourage people to think about their mental health as well.
Adding that it is normal to be feeling anxiety at this time.
McGregor says that we need to be limiting the information we let our children see in the same way we should be limiting it for ourselves.
She encourages everyone that the best thing you can do is accept these feelings as normal and focus on what you can do to help yourself.
Finally, she says that changes socially may have an impact on our mental health.
