When it comes to donating blood Canadian Blood Services says you can do so despite the COVID-19 outbreak.
Kersten Dupuis with Canadian Blood Services says that the virus doesn’t affect the blood that is donated.
However, with the outbreak, they are taking precautions at events including ensuring everyone who is donating isn’t sick or showing symptoms.
Despite limiting risk, she says that they are anticipating that the blood supply in Canada will drop.
So if you are healthy and have an appointment they encourage you to honour it and donate.
