The housing market in Milton is hot right now according to the Oakville Milton & District Real Estate Board.
While the board’s director for Milton, Hunter Obee, says spring has been historically the busiest time, he wouldn’t say it’s the best.
Obee, says his best tip for sellers is to be prepared.
Obee, says to buyers that it’s more important than ever for them to work with someone they trust.
Obee adds that they are looking at interest rates that are lower than they’ve been in the past 10 years.
They are also looking at a pre-stress test which mean that buyers should be able to comfortably afford more now than they could have in the past.
He adds that it’s been a time where they’ve had a lot of inventory for a long time but now are seeing the buyer sales pick up which is becoming an issue right now.
The board’s Milton director, Hunter Obee, says currently they are averaging 40-50 showings per listing.
Saying that they haven’t seemed to have slowed down and are still receiving multiple offers on homes.
Although they don’t know yet how the coronavirus in global markets may affect that.
