A group is asking Milton’s Town Council to re-think an incoming condo’s development.
Marsha Waldie and Richard Brown started a petition on Change.org to fight the development of a condo on Bronte Street.
They would like for the building’s height and size to be lowered for a number of reasons.
The two have since brought the request to Council.
Waldie says they aren’t against development, just this particular building.
Waldie adds that she couldn’t gather much of Town Council’s reaction on Monday.
She says the process made it hard to read the room.
Waldie says a size comparable to what’s being built in other areas of Milon would be better.
Regional Councillor for Ward 1, Colin Best, gave a statement regarding the issue.
He says Council has heard the group’s concerns and staff is looking into how to adjust the plan.
That should be expected to come back sometime later this year.
Over 1,000 people have signed the group’s petition.
