The Milton Fire Department recently donated $1,100 to Camp BUCKO.
The Camp provides burn survivors from the ages of seven to 17 a chance to participate in a wide-range of activities.
It also gives the survivors an inclusive space to connect with fellow survivors.
Camp BUCKO runs for six days in August.
“With donations from groups like the Milton Fire Department, kids are able to attend the camp free of charge,” said Patrick Howlett, President, Camp BUCKO. “As well as enabling the kids to attend camp, donations help outfit them with highly anticipated ‘swag’ items such as sweat tops, hats and gym bags.”
It is hosted at Cedar Ridge Camp located north of Bancroft, Ontario.
The money was raised by Milton Fire during their Fire Prevention Week Open House in October.
