Sunday, February 23rd is being proclaimed as ‘Be That Guy’ Day.
‘Be That Guy‘ is about empowering men to not be a bystander during sexual assault situations.
In a statement, GPO shadow cabinet Critic for Women’s Issues and Candidate of Record for Milton, Eleanor Hayward, says she’s thrilled.
“Not only is this event to raise much-needed funds for the Halton Women’s Shelter, we want to shift our culture, for the prevention of all forms of domestic violence,” says Hayward. “We are working to establish Milton Men’s Group to create a ripple effect of connection and healing for a community win-win-win.”
She says they want to raise money and shift the culture for the prevention of all forms of domestic violence.
There will be for a fundraiser for Halton Women’s Shelter.
The event will start at 12:00 p.m. at 150 Nipissing Road, Unit #2 (Academy of Martial Arts).
