
While prepping for a finalized 2020 budget, the Government of Ontario says they are on track to eliminating the debt.
In a release, the provincial government says they want to make life more affordable for residents in Ontario.
They provided a release that state that they are aiming to make life more affordable for residents by eliminating the debt.
With that being their primary goal, increasing revenue remains important alongside cutting expenses.

Milton MPP Parm Gill talks about how the debt has decreased from an estimated 15 billion dollars down to a roughly projected nine billion dollars.
MPP Gill adds that the negotiations with the teacher unions have the potential to impact the budget.
He says the difference between 1% and 2% in wage increases is vast.
The Ontario 2020 budget is expected to be finalized on or before March 31st.
