The Halton Police are recognizing a Milton teenager for delivering thousands of dollars she found in cash to them.
The 17 year old was walking in the area of Derry Road and Trudeau Drive in Milton when she found a bag that contained several bank deposit envelopes with thousands of dollars of cash inside from a local business.
Through her help, the Halton Police were able to contact the business and return the money that had been dropped by an employee.
The Halton Police says that this act of good “replenishes their faith in the good-hearted nature of the majority of youth in our community.”
They will not be revealing the identity of the teenager or of the local business.
