
Halton Women’s Place recently received an international peace award recognizing their work on women empowerment.
GIDDs defines themselves as an international Canadian charity and several other countries that fight against hatred and violence by building a platform that spreads the message of peace and love.
Executive Director of Halton Women’s Place, Diane Beaulieu, talks about how they were nominated.
Beaulieu reflects on the work they do that granted them this honour.
She adds that they were thrilled to have the honour of being chosen by the panel.
Beaulieu shares her feelings about receiving the award.
Beaulieu says this award is especially for their front line workers who work with their clients every day and empower them to be the best they can be.
