As part of our year end interview series, we asked Town councillor for Ward 4, Sameera Ali, to reflect on the past year.
Councillor Ali shares a standout moment for Ward.
This year, the Town wasn’t able to resolve the issue of a lack of firefighters to man their fire stations, including the new fire station in Ward 4.
Councillor Ali reflects on that issue.
She says she will continue to stand up for the need for more parks in her Ward when presented with new site plans.
At a Town level, Councillor Ali says they need to do better with the budget.
Ali adds that she will work towards making plans for Wilfrid Laurier University and Conestoga College’s proposed Milton campus to continue to move smoothly.
