Ontario’s government is investing thousands through Ontario’s After School Program to the Town of Milton.
$48,000 will be invested to help keep kids physically active, healthy, and ready to learn.
“As a father with two children in school, I know how important after school programs are to help keep our kids active and safe,” said Parm Gill, MPP for Milton. “Through Ontario’s After School Program, I am proud our government is supporting the Town of Milton to keep our children and youth physically active and engaged.”
“Kids need safe spaces to grow and thrive,” said Lisa MacLeod, Minister of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries. “Participating in quality after-school activities helps kids improve their grades and boosts their self-esteem. Ontario is pleased to support local organizations to deliver this vital program to their communities.”
The provincial government is investing $13.5 million this school year to serve more than 21,000 children in Ontario.
