On Monday night, the Town of Milton’s Engineering Commissioner, Paul Cripps, presented the Innovative Traffic Solutions award to Mayor Gordon Krantz and Council.
The award acknowledges the success of the Mile Vision system that has reduced traffic times in the areas of Martin, Main, Commercial intersection, as well as Thompson Road.
Cripps says that traffic times were reduced by 17% in the morning and 33% in the afternoon.
Adding that typically systems like this take years to implement, the Town’s traffic division successfully installed it within a matter of months.
