The Canadian Federation of University Women is celebrating its 100th anniversary with a special exhibit at the First Ontario Arts Centre.
100 Years, 100 Women will run at the Holcim Gallery until December 28th.
Co-chair of the CFUW Milton and District’s 100th-anniversary committee, Susan Snooks, says they began their search months ago by looking for local trailblazing women.
Snooks, says they are using pillars to celebrate each women’s life.
They organized each pillar by theme, including rural, education, the arts, community and professional.
Those then had subcategories such as business, sports and service.
Snooks, reflects on the project.
