Halton Gives is one of 40 community campaigns across the country celebrating GivingTuesday in Canada.
The goal is to give back to charities as much as possible.
During last year’s GivingTuesday, over $15 million was donated in 24 hours just in Canada alone.
Co-Chair of Halton Gives, Karen Hudson, explains the beginnings of GivingTuesday.
Hudson adds that it’s been a rapid growth over the last couple weeks before GivingTuesday.
